A graduate of Howard university, Maati holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and Montessori Early Childhood – EC (2013) and Elementary 1 (2015) Diplomas. She is an Instructor for Diversity and Inclusion, and Montessori Philosophy Courses at IAMS and has been teaching children at both EC and E-1 levels at the Barrie School since 2013. Maati provides Instruction and professional development support for adult learners and oversees evaluation of written/verbal examinations. She is also the Race and Equity consultant for the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector, an independent non-profit organization based in Washington D.C., established to help public schools deliver high-quality, personalized education through Montessori.She is one of HHMC’s Virtual tutors.
